Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend!
On Sunday, November 3, please remember to FALL BACK,
or set your clocks back one hour.
  

  • PTA Halloween Carnival is at the Troy High School gym on October 31, from 5:30 to 7:30  pm. Games, prizes, fun and FREE popcorn. Ticket prices are 4/$1.00 or 25/$5.00.
  • Elementary Students are invited to enter the Pumpkin Decorating Contest.  There will be four categories: Cute, Scary, Silly and Most Original.  The contest is during the PTA Halloween Carnival on October 31 in the H.S. gym.  Pumpkins must be in the gym by 6:00 pm.  The judging is at 6:15. Prizes will be awarded that night.
  • End of 1st Quarter: Thursday, October 31
  • NO SCHOOL and Parent/Teacher Conferences: Friday, November 1. All conference times will be mailed home.
  • Book Fair is here!  All classes will visit the book fair during their library times to make book purchases. The book fair is open from 7:45 am to 8:05 am, Tuesday, Oct 29,  through Thursday, Oct 31.  It is also open Friday, November 1, from 8 am to 12 noon, and Monday, November 4, from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm during Parent/Teacher conferences.
  • 4H Meeting: Thursday, November 7, 5:30 pm @ Methodist Church
  • Elementary Food Drive, November 11—15: Let’s help fill up the Food Pantry!  This is a class competition; the class to collect the most items will win a popcorn party for Friday, November 15.
  • Starting last week, we are using our brand new Automated Dialer to remind you of upcoming events and notify you of any emergencies.  If you have questions about this new system, please call the office at 295 4321.
  • Come join the fun and be a Girl Scout! Information and registration meeting: Monday, October 28, after school @ Morrison Elementary. For more information call Lisa Osborn, 295-5720.

· Helping Hands Christmas Program:  For families in need of assistance with Christmas gifts for their children, contact Fran Stanton @ 295-4542, please call between 10:00 am & 8:00 pm.

  • To maintain our safe, respectful and responsible learning environment, elementary students may not wear costumes at school but the PTA has planned an enjoyable Halloween carnival after school for your students.

Please send appropriate outdoor clothing with your student every day, including appropriate shoes for P. E.


Please do not stop at the playground fence to visit with your child.  It is difficult for the recess attendants to know what is going on and can result in misunderstandings. You are welcome to visit your child, but please check in at the office first.  Thank you.

  • Magic Land Circus is coming to town!  Sunday, October 6, Libby Memorial Center.  Showtimes are 2:00 & 4:30 pm.  Coupons available at school office for $5 tickets or pay $12 at the door without a coupon.

Dear Parents of After School Program Children,
If you have not seen us for parent orientation your child may not attend the After School Program. Also please remember that pick-up time is between 5:30 and 5:45.
